5254 Fabulous Antique 15ct Gold Large And Very Ornate Pearl & Enamel Locket Brooch A fabulously elaborate 15ct gold locket brooch, the brooch has a "3D" effect for want of a better description. The large ornate top has a star shape in the centre with is set with seed pearls and has a black enamel border and has two gold draped chain strands at the back, suspended from the larger top is a smaller similar dropper also with a pearl and enamel star shape and a little teardrop shaped gold dropper at the bottom. At the back of the top section is a glazed locket compartment. ( there is an old solder repair at the pins hinge but obviously this does not show when worn, also a very slight bruise on the inner cirlce of the top section, these facts have been taken into account and are reflected in the asking price - still a very beautiful and wearable antique brooch. These early Victorian brooches weren't marked but is tested as and guaranteed to be 15ct gold. The top section is 45.5mm by 36mm, the bottom is 38.5mm in cluding the dropper, by 18.5mm Overall length 3" (75mm). Weight 17 grms.
