The Charms

Considerations:

The majority of charms sold in my store are 'vintage', which means that they are at least 20 years old. If described as 'antique', they were made at least 100 years ago. More specific dating requires a legible hallmark.

Vintage charms will usually be showing some wear, commensurate with their age. Such wear, and particularly any noticeable blemishes or damage, will always be mentioned in the item description.

Charms below a certain weight are exempt from hallmarking. The exemption weight is based on the weight of the metal content only (excluding any stones): items of gold above 1g and silver above 7.78g should be hallmarked. Occasionally charms of foreign origin will be unmarked.

I do not test for gold or silver content; any doubt regarding the alloy will be expressed in the item description.

I am happy for your local jeweller to test the authenticity of any charms purchased from my store, and will refund your payment (including any return postage) of any found not to be as described.

Some of the charms are supplied in an un-cleaned condition: this will be stated in the description.

Charms are supplied with the original jump ring, as it was removed from a bracelet. Such rings are useful as a TEMPORARY means of attaching the charm to your bracelet, but will have been weakened in the process of removal. I would always recommend that you have your charm attached with a new jump ring, which should also be soldered for security (an inexpensive job for your local jeweller).

Postage & Packing

Conditions:

Your charm will be carefully packed to assure it arrives in perfect condition. I DO, however, recycle packaging wherever possible, in a bid to conserve resources and keep costs to a minimum.

Items of higher value MUST be shipped fully insured, and will usually require a signature on delivery.

P&P charges quoted include postage, packing, insurance (where applicable), and handling.

Payment

UK Buyers:

I prefer payment to be made via PayPal:  it is SECURE and there are no extra charges involved to you as a buyer.

Payment by personal cheque or Postal Order must be agreed by me before the purchase is made: please contact me by e-mail.  Charms paid for by these methods will be despatched when your payment has cleared (please allow 4 to 6 working days for this). e-Cheque payments via PayPal can take up to 10 days to clear.

Banker's drafts or transfers cannot be accepted.

It is ILLEGAL to send cash in the post!

International Buyers:

Payment MUST be made through PayPal.  My prices are in UK Pounds Sterling, but PayPal will charge your account in your local currency, at the current conversion rate.  I am automatically credited in UK Pounds Sterling.  You can check today's currency conversion rates here:  XE.com's Currency Converter

I am unable to accept cash payments, personal cheques, banker's drafts or transfers.

Returns Policy

Want to return your item?

If anything you receive is not fully as described in my listing, I will of course be happy to refund your payment in full, including the cost of return postage.

I am also happy to cover 'buyer's remorse', where you find that the charm is not quite what you wanted. I appreciate that it can be difficult to visualise the size or bulk of a charm from photos and dimensions alone, and want you to be HAPPY with your purchase.
