Chunky Sparkling Midnight Navy Blue Goldstone Sandstone Gemstone Coin Earrings

Chunky and a little funky!  These Midnight Blue Goldstone earrings are perfect for a party or every day glamour.  They are a deep, deep midnight blue, a wonderful alternative to black............ superb with all shades of blue:

The ear wires are Sterling Silver and the caps on the Goldstone Coin are silver plated.

Blue Goldstone is a man-made stone and is made by adding Copper Salts to glass in a furnace. The Copper is suspended in the glass and give it its characteristic glitter ! Goldstone is still made in Italy today by members of a single monastic community although Goldstone is also commercially made elsewhere these days. There are stories about how Goldstone is thought to have been discovered by alchemists whilst on their lifelong quest to transmute base metals into gold!

It is said to be a gently uplifting stone and the theraputic properties of copper are also available to the wearer!

The earrings are for pierced ears only and hang from Sterling Silver ear wires.  They have a drop of nearly 13/4" - almost 4.5cm.

The beads are quite thick too - 5mm (or 1/4") this adds to the chunkiness.

GOLDSTONE DOES STILL HAVE SOME FLAWS............EXPECT THE ODD PATCH WHERE THERE IS LESS SPARKLE AND THE OCCASIONAL IRREGULARITY IN THE SURFACE. SEE BELOW
